My name is Monica. I am 35 years old and have lived in GA my entire life.  I am a strong headed perfectionist and I put my full faith in God.  I have a wonderful and supportive family who keeps me going everyday.  My husband is the love of my life and I couldn't make it through a single moment without him.  He is my rock and his love keeps me going through every day.

 

Growing up I have always had unwavering love from and for my family.  I have always had a bond with my brother especially, and he has been my best friend since we were small children.  The connection that we have has seen us through good times and bad, but has always ended in happiness.

 

I have struggled with ED for over 20 years and BD for as long as I can remember.  I haven't always understood that these feelings and emotions had a name and definition.  Getting older and "wiser" has given me the understanding of both.  Through my struggles, I have come to the realization that whether it's one person or a team of support, having an ear or a shoulder to be there for me, listening and holding my hand without judgement...has given me strength. This is the strength that I need to fight those demons everyday.  The struggle is real and is different everyday.  I know that, and with every new day...I am fighting the battle and winning the WAR!
